The British reappeared behind bars
Police arrested Tuesday evening John Darwin, the canoeist presumed death in 2002, reappeared Saturday, and who claimed to be with amnesia.
His wife, who had evaporated in nature, in Panama, was also found.
Anne Darwin had sold his house and pocketed the money from her husband’s life insurance, “disappeared” five years ago, before flying to Panama.
The scam the life insurance in any case seems to be confirmed:
A photo, found on the website of a real estate company in Panama, evidence that the husband had visited Darwin together in the small Central American country in July 2006. The owner of the agency, a photo with the couple, admits he has two clients prénommés Anne and John, but with a different last name.
